This Privacy Policy explains how LanternAdvisor ("we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use lanternadvisor.com and its related pages, including our industry advisor tools (collectively, the "Site").

The short version: We collect the business and contact details you enter into our funding questionnaire so we can prepare your report and connect you with funding partners who may be able to help. We share that information with those partners. We also share limited, encrypted identifiers with advertising platforms to measure our ads. We do not sell your information to unrelated third parties, and you can opt out at any time.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us

When you complete our questionnaire or request a report, we collect:

Name, email address, phone number, and ZIP code
Business name and industry
Monthly revenue, time in business, and self-reported credit range
Funding amount sought, intended use of funds, and desired timeline

We do not request Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, or bank login credentials through this Site. Never enter that information into a form here.

IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
Pages viewed, time on page, and referring URL
Cookies and similar technologies, including advertising cookies described below

3. How We Share Your Information

Funding partners

When you submit the questionnaire and consent to contact, we share the information you provided with lending and funding partners — including Prime Trades Funding — so they can evaluate whether they can assist you and contact you about options. These partners are independent businesses and handle your information under their own privacy policies. LanternAdvisor is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.

Service providers

We use vendors to operate the Site, including website hosting, email delivery, form processing, and appointment scheduling. They may process your information only to provide those services to us.

Advertising and measurement partners

We advertise on platforms including Meta (Facebook and Instagram). To measure which advertisements lead to completed requests, we use the Meta Pixel and the Meta Conversions API.

Through these tools we share limited identifiers with Meta, including a hashed (irreversibly encrypted) version of your email address and phone number, your IP address, browser information, and Meta's own advertising cookie identifiers. Hashing means Meta receives a scrambled value rather than your actual email or phone number, used only to match the conversion to an ad. We do not send your revenue, credit range, or other financial answers to advertising platforms.

You can control Meta's use of your data at facebook.com/adpreferences, and manage off-platform activity at facebook.com/off_facebook_activity.

Legal

We may disclose information where required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, safety, or the integrity of the Site.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties, and we do not sell your information to data brokers or general lead marketplaces.

4. Your Choices and Rights

Opt out of contact. Reply STOP to any text message, use the unsubscribe link in any email, or email us at the address below.
Access, correction, or deletion. You may request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
Advertising cookies. Use the Meta links above, or your browser settings, to limit ad tracking.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy laws, including in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Texas, and Virginia. We honor these requests regardless of your state of residence. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

5. Consent to Contact

By submitting the questionnaire and checking the consent box, you agree that LanternAdvisor and its funding partners may contact you at the phone number and email you provided — including by automated dialing systems, prerecorded messages, and SMS — regarding funding options. Consent is not a condition of receiving your report or of obtaining any service. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts.

6. Data Retention and Security

We retain your information for as long as needed to provide services, meet legal and recordkeeping obligations, and resolve disputes. We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
